    Description

    A Chinese dowry chest. Mixed hardwood construction with forged Brass handles and carved lacquer panels with gilded details.  Four section design with two panel doors in top section above two sections with two lift-off panel doors.  Lower section with two panel doors which open to reveal two dovetail drawers.
    This chest was included in a 1995 Chinese Art and Furniture auction hosted by The Chinese Society of Arts & Culture Improvement at the Montien Hotel in Bangkok.
    Refinished with wear, some shrinkage and warping.  30 1/2 x 20 1/2 x 69 1/4" high overall.
