Chinese Wedding Chest / Armoire / Cabinet - rare yellow finish

While living in Korea, there was a wedding chest at an antiques dealer in an amazing vibrant yellow. I had already wanted one in the usual red, but upon seeing the yellow for the first time, that was it. Of course, it was already spoken for. But the owner said that next time she went on a sourcing trip to the furniture district west of Shanghai she would search to find me another one. Six months later I had this piece. Since then I've enjoyed it in Austin for the past 22 years. Constructed using joinery techniques and no nails. Shown in the sunlight with drawers and doors off and on. I'm sorry to say this just doesn't fit in my house these days as my little people's footprint takes over the house. Similar red cabinets selling elsewhere for ,000, so great value price here.
