It consisted of the Heer (army), the Kriegsmarine (navy) and the Luftwaffe (air force).? The German army (Wehrmacht) used their own money in areas, where currency restrictions The once mighty Wehrmacht represented Adolf AH????????s armed forces from 1935 to 1945.
The National Socialism government issued special currency (Verrechnungsschein fr die Deutsche Wehrmacht) for the Wehrmacht during World War II in 1942. These banknotes were initially issued in areas where currency restrictions existed. It could be used in German mess halls, casinos and special shops designated for the Wehrmacht. This money was called Behelfszahlungsmittel (temporary money) and denominated in Reichspfennig and Reichsmark.
The 1944 issue of Wehrmacht money replaced the earlier series from 1942. These new banknotes bought goods at their face value. The issuer of this money was the Hauptverwaltung der Reichskreditkassen (Main administration of the credit bank of the Reich). The money was denominated in Reichsmark. The banknotes were called Verrechnungsscheine (Clearing bills)
