$ 153.11

Availability: 100 in stock
  • UPC: Does Not Apply
  • Company Maker: Fostoria
  • Circa: 1915 - 1930s
  • Color: Cobalt Base / Multicolored Iridescent Finish
  • Condition: CONDITION: This is a really pretty and rare Fostoria American Style candy dish in a vivid blue carnval color that was made in the early 1900s. It was made by Eda Glass of Sweden. The pattern name is Diamant or Diamond. The piece was iridized and looks like a deep rich violet color. The base color is cobalt as you can see in the photo of the bottom of sugar, and that is how you determine color with carnival glass. We are selling this item AS IS. We don't normally run things with damage, but this piece is so RARE you may never be able to own one in better shape. We have taken really good pictures. Take the time to blow them up and look at what I point out. When the sugar lid is sitting on the base it really does look perfect. However, the bottom has one actual tiny chip. There are also several small areas around the rim where the carnival glass finish has been chipped off. This is evident in the photos when you blow up the piece and look at the raised corners. The base is free of cloudiness on the inside.  All and and all the bottom is in Good Condition. The color is awesome on both pieces.  The lid is in Fair Condition.  It has quite a bit of inner rim roughness on both sides of the sides of the raised inner edge. Some of the cubes directly above the rim have tiny digs.  The rest of the lid looks to be damage free.  If you have any questions regarding this piece please contact us and we will get back to you with an answer.
